Daniel Joseph Bauman

Daniel "Dano" Joseph Bauman died on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79.

Born in Forty Fort, PA, Dano was a resident of Levittown for over 50 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Parish.

Until his retirement, Mr. Bauman was an accountant with Shell Oil Company for over 25 years.

After his retirement he found his niche as a bartender at the former Indian Creek Tavern where he acquired his nickname, "Dano".

He served in the US Army post the Korean War from 1953 until 1955.

Dano was an avid sports fan, especially of Notre Dame football.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Beloved of the late Jeanne A. O'Donnell, Dano was the loving father of SueAnne Montanari (Eric) of Jamison, William (Tiffany Nguyen) of Northeast Philadelphia and James (Sahar) of San Diego, CA; the devoted grandfather of Nicole and Eric Jr, Montanari, Elexia Lank (Eric), Billie-Jean Bauman (Brett Rubenstein), Vincent, James Jr., Jennifer and Luke Bauman; and the proud great grandfather of Leila and Dominic. He will also be sadly missed by his companion, Peggy Samberg and her family, David McMahon, Peggy Bean and Tom Rich and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 5201 Emilie Road, Levittown. Rite of Committal will be held privately.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to American Legion Post 960, 1537 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, PA 19057.
